What the bonus is worth: About $1,000 in gift cards or flights through Amex Travel; often 1.5–2¢ each via transfer partners.
Offer is personalized: Amex shows your exact amount after you apply (no credit score impact until you accept).
The grocery-and-dining card. If your household spends $1,000+ a month on food, 4x points pays for the $325 fee before you count any credits. 100k is the top of the published range; check your personalized offer before you accept, since Amex sometimes shows a lower number.
Households that spend $800+ a month on groceries and restaurants. The 4x categories alone cover the fee; the credits are a bonus.

No. It's Amex's 'as high as' offer, so your application may show 60,000 or 75,000 instead. If a higher number shows on Amex's page or through the 'Apply with confidence' check, that's the one you'll get.
Answered by StackTheDealYes. Every new credit card account from any bank counts toward Chase's 5/24 rule, so if you're planning a Chase card soon, get that first.
Answered by StackTheDeal4x at restaurants is capped at $50,000 a year, and 4x at U.S. supermarkets at $25,000 a year, then 1x. Most households never hit either.
Answered by StackTheDealUsually within 8 to 12 weeks after you complete the $8,000 in 6 months, often sooner.
Answered by StackTheDealYes. Amex's once-per-lifetime rule is per card product; holding or having had the Platinum doesn't block a Gold bonus. Having had the Gold itself does.
Answered by StackTheDealYou have to enroll in your Amex account first. The monthly Uber Cash and dining credits then apply automatically, and unused months don't roll over. The $325 fee is mostly offset if you use them every month.

The 100k bonus is huge, but the $795 fee is real money and the credits are in halves (January–June, July–December), so do the math on your own travel first.

This is the biggest public bonus on the market right now, and the 6-month window makes $12,000 doable for a family.
